windshield area tapping noise 06 tundra crew

Posted 10-30-2009 at 09:26 PM by jobiever
(Solution -Try taking hood lifts off)

I wanted to add this solution for those as frustrated as me - Like another member, I started to notice a tapping noise like a stone or bug hitting my windshield near the passenger side. Was it my antenna, bug shield, wipers, windshield, or dash? The dealership was kindly enough to keep it for a week and gave me a free loaner, but of course it rained every day, and they couldn't hear it. Trust me that I had to stop this Chinese water torture,...

alternator for 2001 sequoia

Posted 10-26-2009 at 09:37 PM by hardliving
My 01 sequoia has 100 amp 3 pin plug. The higher amp alternators on 03 and up (130, 150) have a 4 pin plug. Can the four pin be used on my vehicle if so what needs to be changed? I know if I use a higher alternator I have to upgrade main power wire back to battery.

Wheel and Tire Upgrade

Posted 10-26-2009 at 08:23 PM by Midlifer
I've got a 2000 TRD that's all stock and up for tires for the winter season. I'm going to keep this truck until my license get pulled so I'm going to do some upgrades.

Any suggestions for the 'perfect' wheel and tires size for a quiet on-road/offroad tire. And while we're at it...suggestions for online sites to purchase such a combination.

Pictures of your 'perfect' match would be appreciated. I think I have the stock 16 inch rims and thinking at least 18 inch......
