HEY GUYS.....I'M GETTING EXCESSIVE BRAKE DUST ON MY 07 TUNDRA.
MY WHEELS ARE LOOKING TERRIBLE....ANYONE ELSE HAVING THIS PROBLEM ??
I've seen a Ford F-150 in my work parking lot, and it has brown wheels because of brake dust. It's newer than my 2005 Tundra too!

Hey Happy Tundra,
brake dust is a common occurance in every vehicle, some more than others due to materials used in the brake shoes. This just means you should be washing your truck more often.
But if you do want to sell this brake dust, since you posted this in the classified section, what would you be asking for it?
..............we're kidding. welcome to the forum kid.
I didn't know there was a market for brake dust. I could've been a millionaire.
I am using Toyota pads and have very little dust on my wheels. Some say this is not the case for them. Much of this has to do with driving habits. Do you know what brand of pads are on it?
If not I would start with the Toyota pads and see how they work for you.
Mike

careful with the ceramic pads. I installed some on my wifes '02 impala and the rotors got warped really bad. I changed them to regular pads from GM along with the rotors and no more problems. Just make sure the rotors are compatable with the ceramics.
