Default need help with brakes

my brakes on my 06 dbl cab squeek loud when im driving foreward and come to a stop not in reverse but only under light braking. i used the search feature and only found people complaining about the squeek in reverse or when they install new brakes but a moderator called "MEvang" was saying to make a 90 degree grind on the edge of the pads so their is no sharp surfaces. has anyone tried this? can somebody please help guide me though the brake pad removal and installation, proper torque ratings, steps, ect.?

Acutely what you want to do is take of the 90% edge at the leading and trailing edge of the pad. This is what they refer to as beveling the pads.
Let me explain a little more, the leading and trailing edge is the side of the pad in which the rotor rotates into or away from depending on the directing your going (forward or reverse) So when you get the pads out this will be the short sides of the pad.
You can bevel the edge with a file or just rub it across some sand paper. Just take down the edge about a 1/8" into the pad.
To get the pads out; the short version, remove the wheel, remove the pin retainers, slide out the pins, pull the pads straight out of the caliper,- then reassemble, torque the wheel lugs to 83 LbFt.
Then the pads are out make sure the pads are backed with shims. If not get some from the dealer. Also the top pin should have anti rattle spring attached if not get this from the dealer also.
