Default Ceramic pads on an 06 Tundra?

Hi,

I'd like to hear what people think on two topics:

1
Using ceramic pads on an 06 DC tundra - I have custom 20" wheels and its such a pain keeping them clean. I also tow alot so I stress the brakes more than others...

2
Do I really need to replace or turn the rotors everytime I replace the pads?

Thanks in advance,

jmo

I had the same issues with PBR ceramic pad. I removed them and went with Toyota pads, now I have no problem. You will usually find the best all-around performance from the factory pads. You could also try Raybestos, Wagner or Napa pads.
If the rotors are not damaged or giving you pulsation problems there is no reason to resurface them. If they are still with in specs and not causing any issues then there is no reason to replace them.
Some still feel you need to do this to break in the pads, but this is not true. The pads will seat on smooth rotors much quicker as they are already bedded.
