A while back I had put new pads on my truck (2006 DC Tundra 2wd). I bought the pads at NAPA, the guy at NAPA told me they were the best I could buy and that they were good cause they were ceramic and what not. They cost me $80 but with a liftime warranty. Anyways, well I had them put on and afterwards everything seem good. No more noisy breaks or bad stopping times. I had stopped using my truck for a while so I never posted a thread on this but now that I started using it again, I want to know what might be going on. The thing is that now my brakes make noise when I'm braking when they didn't the first few days of installing the new pads and supposely these pads weren't gonna dirty up my wheels too much because they were cermaic. But it got even worse now, these things are worse than the stock OEM ones. When I had the OEM pads, they never made noise till they were already faded and yeah they got my wheels dirty but not nearly as much as the new ceramics pads from NAPA I had installed. So what do you guys think is up with this???

NAPA is selling reboxed Raybestos pads the last I heard, and their top of the line pads are ceramic. My experance with ceramic pads and I know others is that they do dust a lot. Now this can vary between manufactures so other may have different experiences with ceramic pads.
I am running Toyota pads and get very little dust. I have open chrome wheels so the slightest dust shows up on the wheels and I don't have a problem. Also the factory shim kit is important to keeping noise down make sure you have these in place.
If your OEM pads dusted a lot you need to look at your rear brake adjustment and possible the rear height proportioning valve for proper adjustment.
