Default brake upgrade????

i have an 04 tundra doublecab with 63000 miles. i just love this baby. anyway, i have a slight vibration when braking(probably need the rotors turned). i was wondering if it is possible to put larger brakes on-larger rotors and pads. would this increase the stopping power? sometimes it feels like it could use a little more stopping power. i just bought it CERTIFIED, so i assume it still has good life left on pads and rotors. just wondering. LOVE this site. i get on here and time just flies, i stay on here way to long. thanks guys...Jim

Any time you install bigger brakes you are reengineering the main safety system on your vehicle. Unless your a brake engineer I would not advise it.
If you fix what's causing your vibration, get your rear brakes adjusted and install Toyota pads, I think you'll find your truck stops just fine.

There are some aftermarket "big" brake kits available including one
from TRD (if your concerned with OE engineering). All will increase
your stopping power, especially when towing. They are not cheap.

Another avenue would be more aggresive pads. More economical
along with noticeable improvement as long as you stick with a
reputable brand.

Brake upgrades have been covered pretty good here because of all
the problems with early model Tundras. Do a back search on the
"brakes" forum and you will find all kinds of usefull info on this along
with possible causes and cures for your vibration problem.
