Default Brake job

Anybody out there have the joy of getting brake work done on their trucks yet?

Just wondering what had to be done, at what mileage and what the cost was.

Sounds like work on these trucks is expensive. I suspect that rotors / pads, etc will be a real costly repair.

It's got 4 wheel disc and that's one of the reasons I bought it. Do the brake job yourself

Right, a heck of a lot easier and more straight-forward than doing drum brakes. There's probably already high quality aftermarket pads out there, Raybestos, Borg Warner, etc, and as far as rotors go, if you don't use the pickup to deepen muddy swamp holes, etc, rotors can last forever without re-surfacing.

Are you having any problems, pulsations, squeals? How may miles? What make you think you need brakes?
If you have no problems, no symptoms, there is a very good chance you can simply replace the pads. Not difficult to do yourself and you can save a lot of dough.
