I just switched from plain Brembo replacement rotors (front) to the slotted Powerslot rotors on my 03 Sequoia and I can honestly say I lost a ton of braking power. I switched because my Brembo's warped from towing around a boat all summer and I thought the slotted would not warp. They look great, but performance is disappointing.
I've got the Powerslot with Hawk HPS pads, couldn't be happier. And they are lasting well, now over 70k. It's a Tundra, but don't think that'd make the difference. /Mike

When you change rotors and not the pads some reseating of the pads will need to take place. This can take a long while when used pads are in place. Give it some time and it should get better.
Don't expect these rotors to be any better then what you had but they shouldn't be worse.

I had and still have Hawk HPS pads on these new Powerslot rotors. I have driven around 2500 miles now since install, and I can still say the stopping power is not as good as the plain Brembo's or even the factory blanks. I love the look of the Powerslot, but highly disappointed in performance drop.

I've got the same exact setup, with maybe 5-7k on them so far. My braking power increased tenfold over stock. Did u follow the break in procedure strictly? Bleed your brakes? Something doesn't sound right

Unfortunately because of the type of pad you are using everyone here is correct, you will likely need to change the pads.
Performance pads that require an aggressive break in procedure do so in order to bring to the surface special ingredients in the pads that help mate the pad to the rotor surface. Once you change the rotors the pads can no longer seat properly and will need replaced.
