Default 2000 Tundra and loud brake squeak in reverse

Since I am having the inner CV boots replaced and the diff dropped I thought I might as well get my brakes fixed as well.

I had the rotors turned and sanded a little over a year ago and had new pads put on the front. At the time, the rear shoes still had approx 60% of their life left on them according to the mechanic so I didn't have anything done to them.

In the last few months I have had a horrible squeak/squeel crop up when I put the trunk in reverse and push in on the brake. This is at low speeds like backing out from a parking spot. In forward, it will only let out a low squeel for a second then stop completely.

Whats going on here? New pads again even though the ones I have on are only a year old?? Why would the squeel be SO MUCH WORSE in reverse than in forward?

I moved you to the brake forum since there is already a good thread here on this subject: Brake squeal only in reverse
