Default Need new pads for 2002 Toyota Tundra TRD

I have a 2002 4.7L 127,000 miles Toyota Tundra and need to replace the brake pads. The last ones I had put in only got me about 30,000 miles. Any recommendations on whether or not I should go with OEM pads or is there something better that would last a little longer? If so what would that be?

30K is considered by most in the business to be the average normal life span of brake pads. I do suggest if you want to improve your braking do the caliper upgrade. No one that has done it has been disappointed.

I did the brake upgrade and i am super happy.... I used loaded calipers from toyota (got them for a steal - $500 for both) and rotors also from toyota. If you want to be super happy I would sugest replacing or turning the rear drums too... I should have....

I just did the Hawk LTS pads and they're great so far!

Also, what model years are the "new" calipers? I have an 04 with bad seals, and want to make sure I get the right ones.

Thanks!
