2002 Tacoma parking brake handle sticking

The parking brake on my daughter's 2002 Tacoma manual shift 4X4 is sticking. The parking brake itself is working OK. (Or at least it seems to be.) What's the fix? Just lube the cables ?

Tom,
If only the handle is sticking and not the cables, you can lube up the handle and that should fix it. If the issue is cables they will need to be replaced.
