Oh yeah!! Rush hour in any city in the world would turn into a love fest; the whole city would be stoned, and without even having to roll a joint. Guess it would cut down on road rage incidents, maybe. )

Nothing new, I once got a look at some pad formulation sheets and was surprise to see that walnut shells were a primary filler.
But hemp could be a problem, all the stoner would be stealing your brake pads and smoking them.

Yeah, no. Hemp has very low measurable THC and has no "recreational" value and should not be confused with cannabis. Hemp has thousands of uses from ropes to clothing to industrial tarps and everything else you can think of that we currently use cloth, plastic, or vinyl for. Hemp is so incredibly wear resistant that if you bought a pair of hemp jeans they would probably last you a decade. Hemp ropes are used by navies the world over - it does not rot.
The people we elected to our government are completely mislead on this issue and equate "hemp" with "marijuana." It does not help that stoners have made the legalization of hemp their mantra as they have already established a long track record of just plain foolishness. Now we are left with a crop that could revolutionize the the agricultural section of our economy while those with the power to ban are mislead to believe is a drug when nothing could be further from the truth.
My personal opinion is that there are certain companies of the manufacturing sector who would stand to lose everything when a product like hemp finally does make it to market. Can you imagine carpet that has four times the lifespan of the best carpet currently available? Hemp is a marvelous product that has been mislabeled and misjudged. The degree and scope to which this has occurred makes it difficult to laugh it off as yet another conspiracy theory.

All kidding a side, I'm quite familiar with the versatility of hemp and actually glad you pointed this out. I've always been a supporter of the use of hemp. If hemp were used for paper products there would be no need to use trees for paper production. Tree hugging aside, think of the savings this would create, when a easily replaceable plant (a weed) could be used to produce paper, rode and other things.
