Default frozen E-brake pistons

I have a 2003 Tundra. For the last 2 years the E-brake pistons have repeatedly siezed (a period of time between oil changes). I use the brake at least 2-3 times per week and I do drive in NY winters on snow, salt, & cinder covered roads.

Is there a how-to for keeping these lubricated/freed-up?

Thanks

Thanks for your reply.

The service people at the dealer have referred to them as both pistons and/or pivots. They seize up between oil changes and not only cause a rhythmic rubbing sound, but also compromise my gas mileage.

This has happened the last 4 times I've taken the truck for some sort of service. They did the work for free one time, but tell me there is no permanent fix. Therefore I am expected to pay each time from now on (or replace them).

I'm of the opinion that this is a design flaw and should be a covered repair, or replacement.

Thanks again for you offer to help.

Steve
