Default Stainless Brake Lines

Has anyone put on braided stainless lines on their front brakes??

I've found Axxis makes some. TRD includes them in the "big brake kit"

Also see Wheeler Offroad has pairs available too, with PVC coating on the outside.

Looking for opinions and feedback.

Thanks

TG

I have installed the stainless lines that are included in the Total Chaos kit, love 'em. You might contact them for a set

Was hoping to bump this thread to get some more input. I am interested in the stanless brake lines too, and wanted to see if anyone has purchased the Axxis, Wheeler's, Offroadsolutions.com, or other SS brake lines and how they worked out. What kind of performance enhancement do they provide?

Any input is appreciated.

Thanks,

Ken

I've got some that came with my new Long travel kit. They seem to make the brake pedal more firm. Not as squishy. I hope that helps.

for an explanation of the benefit and possible detriments (there are few) to ss brake lines, take a look at www.stoptech.com's tech section, they have an article specifically written on ss brake lines.

they are a good thing.

I changed over to the Wheelers lines (2 front/1 rear) when I did the upgrade on my front rotors in Aug (Frozen). The fit and quality are very good. I only got to drive or use them for a week before my ride went back to storage (on assignment over the border). I like the setup.

Here is a quick pic of the install, if you like:

The brake lines look good and your Tundra looks awesome! I envy you but I could never have a truck that looked that good since I have to drive mine everyday.

Thanks. "There" is so far away from home for me. I cannot wait to get home at Xmas and see the Family...and then play with the Toy!

Would anyone know why a company wouldn't make a set for the rear brake lines on the Sequoia's? If they are available for the Tundra's, will it fit on a Sequoia as well?

Wow! Nice looking truck! You must really like red eh? lol
But swet truck! Seriously...
I too have wheelers off road SS lines in my 4runner. They seem to firm up the brakes when i have to hit the brakes hard. No complaints so far, comes with everything needed for install. Only $90 for front and back.

Tundras are 3 channel brake system (2F+1R).

Sequoias are 4 channel brake system (2F+2R).

2 brake lines are needed for the rear.

Oh I see, I'm guessing there aren't any companies that make the rear lines for the sequoia's. Thanks for the info!

For those that do have the Wheelers SS brake lines, how easy/hard was the installation?

JBToy, nice truck btw!

Thumbs up Have them Made

I had all my SS lines made by Crown in Vista. They make lines that are sold in the Fabtech kits and also many other lift kits. They made all the lines for my TOY (Custom Lengths) and for all 3 it was only $60. They are Braided with a red clear cover over them. Work great and are good quality. They look just like the pictures in the post a couple spots above.
