Default front brakes....pad wear??

hey guys..

well i waited too long... i was going to be asking about install of perf. rotors and pads, but instead.. i had to just replace the factory pads last night. all went well.... except the hacked up cotter pin the dealer left in there.

i did the left side first.... they were worn down to probably 10%. i knew they were getting close.... the dealer said a few month back they were at 20%

i next did the right side.... the pads were probably only worn to about 35%.

i have had all the TSB's done... and my brakes finally went about 20k with no vibes... and still no vibeswith the new pads.... so i am quite happy. my question is... the difference in pad wear... is that normal?? that seems like quite a difference.

i do not get any pulling during breaking... the thing stops straight as an arrow. i dont get any vibration

any ideas??

I am curious about that too, each time I have replaced pads/rotors/etc have noticed that the passenger side pads worn almost to the rivets while the drivers side was worn about 50~75%.

Seems abnormal to me, anybody else notice this?

Sounds like a piston is sticking in the caliper bore. Not enough to notice any difference in braking, but just enough to facilitate a more rapid wear rate on the pads.

I'd buy that... interestingly enough had the same issue _before_ the TSB, so two different calipers... is there any sort of proportionng valve on the front end?
