Default New Front Brake Pads

I changed my original front brake pads on my 2001 Sequoia at about 40,000 miles. I have NOT had the TSB done and have had no issues with brake vibration. The first time I changed the pads I used OEM Toyota pads. They lasted another 40,000 miles. At 80,000 miles, I again changed my pads. This time, I decided to try an aftermarket pad. I used Wagner Thermoquiet pads. Supposedly, these pads do not require use of any lubricants on the back side or any of the original shims. I simply removed the old pads/shims and replaced with the Wagners. I did one side while my 17 year old son watched and he did the other side while I watched him. It'll be interesting to see if these pads last any longer than the originals. Has anyone else used aftermarket pads, specifically the Wagner Thermoquiet pads?
