    Question brake shoe rattle

    there is a rattle, on the inside of the right rear hub, sounds like a lose brake shoe, i notice it more, now that i have the 20'' wheels and tires. anyone else have this problem or noise?

    Very unusual sound. You'd better pull the drum off and see what needs fixing.

    Might be a loose brake dust shield, Or i once had a rock get stuck back there and bounce around. Sounded like someone shaking a rock in a tin cup.

    Could also be a bad bearing (but highly unlikely) in your case it should all be covered under warranty--right?

    same here 04 DC SR5 ~10k miles, if I hit both front wheels with my fist, not very hard I get that rattle. Sounded like a brake dust shield to me too but on both wheels?? With the recall out i'm a little scared, first time i heard it when jumping over speed bumps


    taking it to service today, I'll keep you updated

    not the brake shoes, it was the factory skid plate, they had it fixed in less than 5 minutes
