Default 01 Tundra: Sudden Brake Jolt / Release

2001 Tundra (not sure if this it the correct forum for this)

Every now and then I noticed after a complete stop and then during a few minutes of waiting (at a traffic light for example), I feel a small jolt and the truck slightly moves forward a bit. My foot is completely on the brake the entire time and never moves.

Anyone else felt this? It almost feels like a car behind has bumped you.

What causes this jolt or brake relaxation? Is this something that I can easily fix?

    Thanks for the help!

Default 01 Tundra: Sporadic Parking Brake Indicator

2001 Tundra (not sure if this it the correct forum for this)

I recently had my back brakes resurfaced and since the repair, I've noticed the parking brake indicator / lamp on the dash flickers on and off at random times.

I'm guessing that it just needs a minor adjustment. Does anyone know how to adjust this and also what to adjust it to?

The light will sometimes go off for a while if I apply the parking brake and then release, so I don't think the brake is really on. Is there a way to check this?

    Thanks for the help!

I didn't find anything with this same issue after a quick search last night ... obviously I missed it, thanks. I'll just keep an eye on that one to see if any answers surface.

Any ideas about my second posting above with the parking brake?

Make sure your driveshaft is lubed up- you can get some minor binding if it doesnt have enough grease in it.

The flickering brake light may be due to low brake fluid level in the mastercylinder
