Default Brake Bleeding

I have a pressure brake bleeder so I can do the job alone. However the screw-on cap doesn't fit the Tundra master cylinder. This master cylinder has a snap-on cap but there is a smooth edge all the way around the top.

Any suggestions? Any ideas?

Thanks

Are you talking about the Motive Power Bleeder? If so you should use the supplied hook and chain to secure it properly to the brake master resevoir.

No thats not the name of it but looking at the picture its identical. It has a pressure pump on along with a pressure gauge. I last used it on a BMW I had.

The main problem seems to be is that the cap is threaded and the Tundra Master cylinder has a snap-on cap. That connection has to be absolutely air-tight. The Tundra cap looks like it could be adapted to a pressure bleeder but then you would want to have another cap to replace it.

I can make it work but it would probably be a jury-rigged adapter. I'm starting out trying to find the quickest and easiest way.

Thanks.

Yeah it's not going to work. The Motiv Product give you a J-hook and a small chain. Just loop around the master and resevoir and check for leaks. Works fine for me since I pressurize the system up to 20psi. Bleed all my vehicles this way.

The Motive sealing surface (on mine anyway) is a little deep and results in the lip of the Motive cover just about touching the main body of the Tundra reservoir. But after I cinched it down, it worked fine. Good product. I may try to add another layer of gasketing inside the Motive cover to make it less deep and thus more "cinchable" against the reservoir lip. (see attachment)

Thank you. With those pictures I can make an adapter for mine.
