Default Brake vibration and jerkyness....

When slowing down and almost coming to a stop my brakes start to vibrate insanely. It was very uncomfortable feeling and it rattles the whole truck. A autobody shop told me its probably because of the 2.5" lift and the bigger tires i have on my tundra (285/75/16) that is wearing down my brake rotors. is this correct? if so what should i replace my brakes with? I was planning on getting bigger tires in the future so should i look into higher performance brakes so they wont wear down later? any help is greatly apperciated.

how many miles on rotors?....have they been turned?
your problem is probaly warped rotors....

get new front rotors...oem or good quality..
get performance pads....hawk, axxis..

heres a good thread going tundra brakes drilled or slotted, ceramic pads or regular?

before you do anything else, read this:

http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/wp...rakedisk.shtml

then read this and work through the processes to make sure your back brakes are adjusted correctly:

http://www.proactivate.com/tundra/brakes.html

with larger tires, you definitley need all four brakes working together.

you signature doesn't tell what vehicle you have, but some are affected by a TSB for brake part replacement. do a search for that to see if you're affected.

if you're still having problems, let us know. ;-)
