Default No problem from 0-60 its the 60-0

Well first of I love my Tundra S/C 01, I mean come on I dont know what it is about the V8 4.7L Tundra but it just sounds so nice.

Well I have no problem going from 0-60 but its the 60-0 that worries me.

I want to put better brakes on but i dont want to spend to much. I dont even know whats good and whats bad, Come on Experts give me some ideas. I have heard about rear, disc, conversion but that is a lot of $$$ to much for my blood but i want some that will help me stop faster. Thanks!

What should I do for my front brakes and back brakes?

You need to know if the front caliper have been upgraded to the newer style. After changing mine and using Toyota pads, switching to the heavy duty drums, mine stops on a dime. Couldn't ask for better brakes.
There's a lot of crazy stuff out there to waste your money on but these mods are the best for the money.

1) make sure the rear brakes are adjusted properly

2) rebed the pads

These 2 things will make a HUGE improvement.

I'm running a S/C on my Tundra too and the stock brakes
don't cut it with all that extra power. I had the TSB done
on my front brakes years ago but it never got rid of the
problem so I turned to the aftermarket for help.

I replaced my stock rotors with cross drilled Brembos and
added Satisfied Pro Ceramic pads and stainless steel lines.
Better bite, better heat disipation and no dust. As others
have said, make sure your back brakes are up to snuff,
that is where a lot of the vibration problems come from.

I replaced my back brakes with more cross drilled Brembos,
added a proportioning valve and never looked back. The
S/C actually improved my pedal feel with four wheel disc
because of the added vacuum it creates.

This is a bigger ticket item and a little more comprehensive
to install - and as you said, not for you.

I installed the front system several months before I did the
back and I gained significant improvements in stopping
power and fade resistance, the back brakes were just icing
on the cake.

There are as many "proven" brake combinations on this forun
as there are members; This one works for me.
