Post Good Line X dealers around?

Hi all. I'm now a proud owner of a new 2003 access cab tundra!!! Bought it just 2 days ago (my first truck). I'm a newbie and would appreciate if you could recommand me a good Line-x dealer in
Los Angeles area? How much does it cost and what should i look for when going to the dealer to get it done?

I also have a bedliner. should i sell it?

Thanks a bunch.

Congratualtions on your recent purchase and welcome to TS.

I can't help you with a Line-X dealer in area but appreciate the fact that you want a Line-X. They are a great bedliner and well worth the money. I think I paid $300 or so for mine.

As far as your plastic bed liner that you have, (I assume it is plastic) you will probably have a difficult time selling it here on TS because most are so fond of the spray in liners.

Your best bet would be ebay or the scrap yard. If you just bought the truck and knew you would put a Line-X in, why didn't your dealer take the liner out and not charge you for it?

Good luck with both getting your new liner and selling your old one, and again welcome to TS.

Thumbs down

I called Valley Line-X on Lankershim and they quoted me $450 for over the rail application.

They also said that they would take my bed liner from me.

It seemed a little steep to me so I am waiting to decide.

Lexus, look at it as a lifelong investment in your truck. What else in your truck has a nationwide lifetime warranty? You can search around for better prices, but don't change your mind for a few measly dollars! I paid like $417 almost three years ago for an OTR because there was only one Line-X guy in all of San Diego...he had a monopoly going, but there are more dealers around now. Think of how little that cost is over the lifetime of your truck...next to nothing man!

Talking

I hear you Andy....it was just around X-Mas time when I called and I just moved into a brand new house and I am currently spending every weekend at Home Depot buying sprinklers/drain pipe/soil amendments/tools/and anything else they sell...hahahaha.

So $$$ is kinda tight...but you are totally right, it is an investment in a sense. Especially at resale time. Good point.

Do what I did,Offer your bedliner for free in the classified section.Sometimes its better than nothing, the guy that took mine was leasing. You will be surprized when you pull out the plastic liner if you do any hauling.

Default LineX dealer

I just had mine done at the Torrance location, $340 under-rail. Ask for Bert.
