Where does everyone take their tundras to get them fixed??

I'm looking for a honest, competent and reasonably priced mechanic in the OC/IE area... someone who specializes in tundras would be good too.

Corona is a bit far from my mechanic, so I'll tell you how I found Dex.

I asked.

Farmers Insurence gave me a list of Body Shops. I went to a nearby one to have the work done. I got along with the owner, so I asked what mechanic he would send his wife, mother-in-law and mother to. He smiled, and recommended Dex's Automotive.

Over the years of treating me fairly and Dex has become a friend. He also helped my 98 Dakota go 623,000 miles on the original engine and transmission.
It was Dex who found the code that Toyota eventually found, and they will fix on warranty, that will correct a problem we've been having.

I pretty much do all the work on my truck. However, if I ever needed to take it to someone, I know a master mechanic who I only deal with and ask for for here in Concord. Otherwise, I have another friend in Sacramento who is a Toyota master mechanic as well. It definitely helps to know people

I'd suggest checking out some of the Socal forums (socaltundras.com), ttora.com to find out who they recommend or if someone is willing to help you out. Unless, someone on here can point you to a reputable mechanic.
