For the members in the SF Bay area, Sacramento and the surrounding areas.
Anyone intersted in having a BBQ/get-together? Any suggestions on locations dates, etc?
Last get-together we had was quite some time ago at the Lagoon Valley/Pena Adobe Regional Park. The park is located in Vacaville, CA off of hwy 80. It had a large parking area if there was a large attendance.
Pena Adobe Road just off of Interstate 80
The 470 acre park includes the historic Pena Adobe home, barbecue areas, horseshoe pit, multi-purpose field, bike trails, a small pond, excellent hiking, Lagoon Valley Lake for fishing and non-motorized boating. The park also features a 30,000 square foot fenced in dog park complete with trees, water and trash receptacles.
I'm in. I'm good with the Lagoon Valley/Pena Adobe Regional Park. I'm thinking a lunch time BBQ using the little portable Webbers or what have you. We can do burgers, dogs and anything else that can be thrown on a grill. Wasn't it like $4 to get in? The only weekend that I cannot attend would be 18th/19th of October.

That's 4 so far. Let's see if we can get at least 10 interest and I'll set this up for sometime this year. Otherwise, keep your eye out early next year.
Just let me know when, so I can have the wife informed. Also, so I can gas up the beast.. it is driven in town mostly now, so it only sees a fill up about once a month if that.. I have a piece of crap dodge neon commuter, but hey, it is running like a little champion so I can't knock it for that!
