Hey guys, heading up to S. Lake this weekend to do some snowboarding. I was wondering what trails are around I could take my truck on (and not get stuck).
I just got brand new Yoko Geolander AT-S tires, 2.5" lift and 4x4. Any suggestions and / or trail maps would be awesome, thanks guys!
Will you be by yourself? If so, I wouldn't recommend it. It's raining in the SF Bay Area now and it's more than likely going to dump more snow in the tahoe area tomorrow or during the weekend. The only place that I would suggest is Moonrocks but, that's up past Reno. A lot of the trails in the S. Lake Tahoe will be covered and possibly impassable. Unless, someone local can chime in that really knows the area that will suggest some legal wheeling.

Tahoe was amazing, snow was perfect and pleantiful, did not go wheeling, however managed to get myself stuck when I pulled off for my friend to take a leak (snow was up to my door!), had to dig out. 6 hrs to get back to Sac (100 miles), dont ever travel on a holiday weekend or a snowstorm when there are 2wd peeps involved. Ill get a pic up soon of my stuck truck)
Hey BlueRanger, where did you board at, Heavenly? I just got back Monday and was up there for the whole weekend at Kirkwood. Your right abou the conditions, it was the best snow I've ever been in, up to your chest at times. I too got stuck playing around on saturday night in those big empty parking lots with two feet of snow to spin around in, went up to the doors at times lol. Traffic was a PIA! This was Saturday morning:
