Default Mt. Diablo summit hike, CO.CO County
Had a great hike with my brother to the summit. Route is estimated at about 11.2 miles (about 4 hours) up and maybe 9 miles (2.75 hours) down. Here's a few pics.

Local rock quarry.

One of the many view points looking towards Concord/Clayton (north).

This is me looking towards San Francisco. We were just below (about a mile away) from Juniper Campground.

i have never been to that part of Contra Costa county

It's a great place to visit either for the day or the weekend. Lot's to do and see. If you ever go up on a weekend, the road to the summit is windy and there are a lot of bikers.
