Re: Orange County Members
Just tossin' out a "hey" to all of the OC denizens. We don't live in "The OC" any longer, either; left in '95 when I retired. But we helped make Mission Viejo what it is today; when we moved there in '69, there was virtually nothing but cows and rolling hillsides. Oh, there were a few scattered tract developments here and there, but El toro Road was a two lane with dirt shoulders, and Lake Forest was still called El Toro. My, how it has changed, eh?? Our oldest son still lives there, and we visit a few times a year, but I have a hard time recognizing a lot of the communities because they have changed so much. A couple of years ago, I was wandering about in MV/El Toro, and sitting at an intersection, I had no idea of where I was; nothing looked familiar, and it took me a few minutes to sort it all out - I was at an intersection I had driven through at least several thousand times over the years. Makes me wonder. ???
