Check out the CATCUFF. It's a quality, American made product that locks up a catalytic converter to the frame of the vehicle so that it simply cannot be removed. It's a one-size fits all product that is easy to install with household tools. The CATCUFF is tougher than nails and is only one-eighth the cost of other catalytic converter anti-theft products, but with even more metal-thief thwarting deterrence and no annoying rattling or vibration. You can learn more at http://www.catcuff.com
OK, you have my attention. Do you have any pictures of it installed? Or installation instructions?

This is the 3rd revision since my cat was stolen earlier this year. I have several friends with Gen I Tundras that want something as well. The cost is about $80ea. for all the parts, but I had to buy 10. At this quantity the machining is expensive. My guess is the stainless steel one will cost another $10 at low quantities, but it will look much better.
The thief took mine today on my 2006 Tundra. It was clean cut on both ends. I'll have the dealer replace it for $1725 estimate for just one
*** updated ***
Dealer called back and said the second one was half done as well so go $2700 for the pair. Not sure about other parts, O2 sensor...and..???

i bet cant you just get some universal ones and have them weled in place ? heck of alot cheaper
Not for any vehicle still under the emissions warranty. It is against Federal law to install a non-OE converter within 8 yrs (or longer depending on manu.).
These guys melt them down for the precious metals inside, rather than installing them on their own rigs. Nothing you do can stop them if they are determined, but you can slow them down or make them pick another rig if you make it hard. Most of these guys are lazy anyway, likely don't have jobs, and generally are scum of the earth.

My buddy had all of his Cats ganked off his 05 DC up in UTC about 2 months ago. Cut the whole section out with a reciprocating saw while it was parked in the business units parking structure..

the same thing happened to a friend of mine on his 00' taco in a heavily occupied park and ride off of I-80 in Sacramento. it was cut clean off from sensor to sensor but all of the sensors were left on. if you have ever cut an exhaust pipe with a sawzall, you know its very loud, how can these guys possibly be cutting and have it go un noticed??? is it possible that they are doing this with some kind of cable???
the whole thing is ridiculous to me, first they steal copper out of light poles, now they are stealing cats????our local law enforcement was contacted about this incident they reffered us to cal-trans because they run the park and ride's.
Yeah, unfortunately there isn't much that can be done. Supposedly in Sac they are cracking down on the places where they can be recycled (where the crooks are getting their money), and so there was something set up where you could go and the police were spraying a high visibility paint on the cats and engraving the license number on them so that if they are turned in the company knows that they were stolen. Now how much this really helps, I have no idea, but I figure anything is better than nothing, and maybe, just maybe it will make the f*ck heads that do this move on to a different truck. I can at least hope.
