Default Lake Tahoe area??

Anyone from the Lake Tahoe area?

Im planning on moving out there within the next year and just trying to get some information on the place as far as how expensive it is, what rents are like, how many jobs for finance educated persons?

Any help would be awesome...thanks!

Try craigslist.org then find the tahoe area and it has a lot of information on useful, and not useful things.

North or Sout Lake Tahoe? North would be closer to Reno, where there is more job opportunity(depending on what you do of course).

I lived there for 2 years (granted that was almost 10 years ago). South Shore is more developed and has more jobs in casino/hotel industry (which are year 'round). North shore is less developed and tends to have more seasonal jobs (tourist type service in summer and ski resort in winter). I have many friends who still live there and I visit a few times a year. Seems getting a "real job" is difficult unless you: A. teach B. law enforcement C. government. Many of my friends are lucky that they have been there so long they know poeple who have helped them out to get a "real job".
I usually don't check these threads much, but you are welcome to PM me for more info or if I can help answer any questions.....

Michael
