ill be #10...im so down for oco..i cant miss this one
word is..kyle is keeping his tacoma..my buddy fabbed some sliders and bumpers for his jeep rubicon..and he offered to fab me a custom brush gaurd..with light mounts and a skid plate..also a light bar for mounting a high lift in the bed like lalo..im wondering if i should led him weld my spider gears to give me a permanently locking rear diff..imput?
so ill be there saturday morning.. or friday depending on whose gonna be there on what day..i just gotta run it by the folks ..but they'll say yes so its cool...i got near bald rugged trails..but im gonna hit the tire shop and have them mount my new rugged trail from my spare on my rear wheel..and the bald tire on the spare..so ill have some traction out there..
checklist..
[x]tent/sleeping bag
[x]food/water
[x]stuff to burn
I'm in and a buddy is coming with me. He has a Silverado and thinks he's gonna show us somethin'...I keep telling him he's barkin up the wrong tree but some folks just need it put in their face to be convinced. We will be up there Saturday around 11am. He probably wont be camping over night but I will.
We're bringing 2 "test" quads that are not registered and dont have green stickers...it's a military thing . Are there going to be "sticker cops" out there making sure quads are registered? If so, is there a place we can ride them in Ocotillo we're there wont be "prying eyes"?
Oh ya, where do we get the flags to put on our rear bumpers?
Thanks guys and I cant wait!
Don

Trucks dont need flags. But quads do for safety reasons. And yes, unfortunately there are alot of rangers around checkin things out. So make sure you bring a helmet. If they ask about registration, tell them you just bought them that day and wanted to go riding. They'll understand.

Roger that. Thanks!

iam ready for the dezz agan, feels like its been way to long. and it will give me a chance to test out the new tread and rims that should be on by then. hopefully well get some more good picts and vids.

Dont do it- for trail rigs thats OK, but for a Daily Driver nope. Spend the $250 for a powertrax unit. The install is EZ enuff and the driving manners are MUCH better
I might be able to make it down next weekend, but I wont know till next week

Well, maybe I wont get re-geared before the 18th. Talked to Carlos and it's going to cost me 2300 and some change to do LS 4:56 in the front and rear. Just wanted to do the rear but I guess you have to do both. F***! I want to get this done. Any suggestions that wont cost me my second child?
Thanks
Don
