South SF Bay Area dealer recommendations (for service)

I just got the Lower Ball Joint recall notice - this will be my first time bringing my 05 DC 4x4 in for service at a dealer. I was wondering if anyone from the South SF bay area can chime in on local dealer service departments - good, bad, ugly? Actually, for that matter, for non-recall stuff, how about recommendations for local independent shops (Toy or 4x4 specialists). Thanks,

I was visiting in San Leandro 2 summers ago and I needed an oil change. I can't remember the dealership name, but it's in downtown Oakland. I drove in unannounced and asked for an oil change. The service advisor said they were all booked up and I would need to make an appointment. I explained that I drove in from TX and that I was leaving tomorrow. They were nice enough to work me in that day. They also took the time to inspect everything while I waited and a salesman let me drive a new Avalon for a while. Nice ride, but I love my Sequoia!
