Thumbs up New HyCam Owner dealer horror story

Greetings~

I have had my 07 hycam for a month. I really purchased it in Feb/07 however I drove it home and the A/C started blowing HOT (we are talking burn your fingers trying to close the vents hot...

I took it to a dealer that was closer to home (David Mause) than where I purchased it. They gave me a courtesy car to use while they fixed the car. The next day they called me me back and rudely told me that I would have to pay for the courtesy car also as the problem with the car was not a manufacturers defect.??

I took the loner car back and told them I would not pay for the use of the car as I only had the new car for now 3 days and that there were no after mkt parts added on.... They told me to take it back to the dealer I purchased the car from (Central Fl Toyota) as they would not work on it! Remember the air can not be shut off nor could it be ajusted off of Extreme Heat! I took the car back feeling like a roasted penut (or air plane 2 the movie) with the windows down .

I pulled into CFT, they took the car right back and checked it out, they came back and said they would put me in a loaner car for a cpl of days until they could find the problem. Thirty days later the Mgr. called me and told me they were going to exchange cars as this car was defective.. So I got a fully loaded hycam w/everything excluding NAV. for the same price as the other car.... Sweet!

The dealer said the car had some pretty major problems/defects and they couldnt understand why the other dealer refused to fix it & treated me the way they did?.. So CFT has earned my repeat business and I refer everyone to them thats interested in buying a toyota.. Its just worth the drive...

Anyone else have a dealer horror story???

Default Re: New HyCam Owner dealer horror story

Aside form my horror story, I used to own a Prius and upgraded to a bigger car, more comfortable ride ect. Man what a Car!!

I had 70k on the Prius at the time of trade in the (DM) dealer offered me 12k for it on trade. But I would have to cough up another 4k down to get a payment under $600 on the hycam..

I then drove to (CFT) they gave me 15k for the prius and I only had to put $450 down to have a $525 monthly payment. I have a 7.90 credit score. again I was told I could have done the deal for $0 but I would have had a higher payment...

Was the car built in US or Japan?
