Default 09 Camry Hybrid

I just traded my wife's 08 Toyota FJ for an 09 Camry Hybrid. We had the FJ for 4 months but decided to trade now and lose an acceptable amount or trade later and lose our butt. I actually didn't do to bad but got a fantastic deal on the Camry. A dealer I have not purchased from before but was near us, sold me an 09 loaded to the hills for invoice. Plus they gave me what I wanted for my FJ (mine was a new color for 08 and they didn't have one that color). My FJ has right at 3000 miles.

I had a 07 Camry Hybrid and loved it so I decided to go back to that for my wife's vehicle. Car MSRP was almost $33,000 I got it for $30,000 out the door and it has roof, Nav, Leather, heated seats ect. Every dealer I checked wanted MSRP.

I feel lucky and am now better prepared for the future crap I think is up coming. I average 35-37mpg in my Corolla S and averaged right at 40mpg in my 07 Hybrid so expect the same in this on.

Anyone know of any changes in the 09 of the 07???

Thanks

Default Re: 09 Camry Hybrid

Currybob,
I have been waiting 3 weeks for my dealer (one I never bought from, but Son and Daughter-in-law bought a nice 09 Prius 2 months ago from same salesman) to find me my 09 Camry! He called yesterday and said he had dealer traded for a white, beige leather, loaded with Nav and roof etc and I could have it when it comes in next week!

Wow, what a nice car the 09 is. I've had a 07 Tundra Double Cab 4X4 that I use to tow my 10,000lb sailboat. What a sweet truck

So now I'm trading in my 1998 cadillac deville d'elegance (loaded with every option ever made) that has a little under 94K and gets 24Mpgs on short trips and 26mpg on the highway. For the best gas millage comfortable cruising vehicle I could find, the 09 Camry!

On other forums I've run across individuals getting consistently 43-45 on the hwy and I'm expecting to see the same. The Toyota dealers around here (Rochester, NY) are holding out for full sticker. So in order to keep face I just kept upward on my trade until they met my number(sticker was 32and change, less my Caddy which they said was only worth $1500 to them) and ended up getting the deal done for $28,250 and they showed my $1,500 caddy at $4,250. So I'm happy getting full retail for my caddy that needs about $1,500 to spiff it up to a $4,250 car, there happy by keeping faith with the other dealers by NOT discounting off sticker! Edmond's shows almost full sticker, maybe $250 off for the 09's.

Regards,
