Dead fob w/ smart key? 07 camry hv

So...what's the deal? Is your smart key dead? Where's the rest of your post?

Actually it's covered in detail in the manual.
First you should get a warning message on the MFD (multi function display) well in advance of it going "dead". Even if it goes dead without warning you merely use the mechanical key to gain entrance through the driver's door, depress the brake and hold the fob with the dead battery up nead the start button. When the start button's LED turns green press the button and you should be good to go. Then replace the battery.

check under the steering column to see if the smart key disable button was acually changed... very common to accidently get pushed

That applies to Prius' not Camry. This is a Camry forum.
