Default Vancouver TCH Owners - Knowledge Database

I think it would be useful for those in Vancouver (& area) to pool their knowledge, in particular, re. information and past experience (good and bad) with dealerships, from sales, service, parts, and everything between... For example: How much did you pay for your oil change/maintenance?; Does your dealership "know" the hybrid system?; How much did you buy your accessory for?; What little things does your dealership do that others don't?

Also, information re. recommended shops (re. quality, price, etc.) for products and services such as paint/fabric protection, clear bra, tint, wheels, etc. would be useful.

Default Re: Vancouver TCH Owners - Knowledge Database

The brakes on my TCH are noisy when braking at low speeds so I discussed it with the dealer. They acknowledged the problem and said they would order the parts. When I took the car in for the 8000Kms service I reminded them about the brake problem. They said they had test driven it and what I was hearing was the regenerative braking. I felt this was rather patronizing so I complained to head office. They didn’t seem to know anything about this problem either. I searched a number of web sites and found two Technical Service Bulletins, BR008-06 and BR010-06. I’ve shown these to the dealer and they’ve agreed to fix the brakes. They claim they still can’t find the Canadian equivalent of the American TSB’s.
