Default Smart Key and Pacemakres

Anyone have thoughts or concerns with Smart Keys and passengers with pacemakers? I just purchased the 07 Camry Hybrid. The manual has a stated warning about it. I'm wondering if I have to ask my passengers about it...? I'm a little surprized the dealer didn't ask us before we purchased the veicle. My wife and I don't have on, but we sure could have. Is there a way to turn off the smart key and still start the car?

Thanks for any insights.

If necessary, the entry function can be disabled. See "DISABLING THE SMART KET SYSTEM" ON PAGE 38 in Section 1-2 in you manual.

DISABLING THE SMART KEY SYSTEM
The following functions can be disabled:
A function that allows you to lock/unlock
the doors and open the trunk by
simply carrying a key
A function that causes the vehicle to
beep if keys are forgotten inside the
vehicle or trunk and a door is closed
A function that recalls the position of
the driver’s seat and side rear view
mirror
A function that shifts the power supply
mode and starts the hybrid system
when the electronic key is in the vehicle.
 Warning lights and buzzers
For details, contact your Toyota dealer.
If the smart key system does not operate
properly because of a system malfunction,
consult your Toyota dealer.
Make sure to bring all of the keys. They
may be necessary to repair the system.
