Default 99 Solara V-6 Timing Belt question

I bought a used 99 Solara from a lady whose mom had passed away, the Solara was her mom's car. So, unfortunately, she did not know the maintenance history of the car, and there weren't any records that came with the car. The car had about 104,000 miles when I got it, and now has about 110,000. I'm wondering if there is a way to tell if the timing belt was replaced? This was an older lady so i'm guessing that she probably kept up with regular maintenance. It is recommended normally to change the timing belt at 90,000 miles, right? Is there any way to look up per VIN to see what maintenance was done?

Did you check the drivers door jam or underneath the hood for maintenance stickers? The stickers should tell you the name of the servicing shops. If the former owner had the car serviced at a local Toyota dealer, the dealer has the service history stored on it's computers. So in that case the VIN number could help the dealer locate the service history records.

Most Toyota dealers and independent service shops put a sticker somewhere
on top of the engine after the timing belt is changed to remind the owner when the belt was last changed

No I haven't checked either of those places yet. Thanks for the recommendation, I'll do that and see what I can find out. If there isn't a sticker anywhere, is it safe to assume that it wasn't done yet?

p.s. I saw that you're from Salem OR, I'm originally from Salem NH! Funny .
