Default breaks on the 99 solara

hey i just wanted to say hi to everyone first. i just got a solara to drive around rohnert park (i got to ssu) and i been noticing that my breaks dont respond quickly. its a 99 solara 97k miles and it just had a maintance check. i just wanted to hear feed back about what could cause this and is this normal? should i get new breaks or is that how this car drives?-tom

I also have a '99 with 102k. The brakes are working great but I replaced the front pads back around 69k. Still had way to go but I went ahead and replaced them. I have also replaced the brake fluid. Since that is cheap, give it a try first, and put some fresh juice on the lines and see what it does.
