Default Transmission problem? Won't accelerate

Hi my 1999 Solara just recently started acting up where I would accelerate but the car won't move. I have checked the transmission fluid level and it seems ok. The car turns on with no problem but it is parked since it won't go anywhere. I am not looking forward to taking this to a shop as I fear the worst. Please post a reply to this if you have any advice/tips, or if you have experienced this before or if you are a mechanic yourself. BTW, I do not see any leaking. Thank you.

Hi,

Did anyone reply to your inquiry? My friend is having the same problem. She has a 1994 Toyota Solara.

Please advice.

Thanks.
Yolanda

Uhhh... there is no 1994 Solara.
Only 1999 on up.

fcui: I would suggest taking it to AAMCO or somewhere reputable instead of the Stealership though unless you want to get totally reamed. Good luck!
