98 Camry Fan

Having a problem, I think, with my wife's 98 Camry. When it's started cold in the morning the engine cooling fan(s) are running. I do not recall this happening before. It's been in the 40's here in the AM so I'm curious as to what may be going on. Anti-freeze level is OK and car runs great aside from that. She has 117K miles on it.
Do I have a problem here?
