Default ABS light, Tracoff Flashing

Hi group, I'm hoping to find some information for my sister. She has a 99 SLE V6. The brake light, tracoff light and ABS light came on. Her husband added brake fluid and the brake light went off, but the abs light is still on and the tracoff light is flashing. I did a search and couldn't find anything that matched that criteria. Any ideas on what the issue may be. She's going to take it to the garage in the morning and have them check the codes. I'd like to have an idea as to what potential issues there could be. Thanks.

Dealer says that the ABS actuator is the problem. $275.00 in labor to diagnose and another 1200 to replace the actuator. Man $1500.00 repair bill for a Solara with 60 miles. I'm really surprised by this.

60 miles? Uh... thinking you probably mean 60K if its a '99.

Well, the dealer was wrong. A new 1200 dollar abs actuator was installed. It didn't fix the problem. Now my sister is stuck with a 275 diagnostic feel and a 1200 dollar bill and the car isn't fixed. Now they want to order an 800 dollar abs computer module and they can't gurantee that this will fix the problem. I really don't feel that she should have to pay 1200 dollars for a repair that was misdiagnosed by the dealer.

Dang - what is it with dealers ripping people off here lately?

I'd call Toyota corporate customer care and report them - that just isn't right.
