Default URGENT - Key problem w/Solara

A friend of mine has a 1999 Toyota Solara with the theft system on it. He has lost his keys and cannot get the security system turned off to start the car (new key by made by toyota will get him in the doors but wont turn on the car). What is the best thing to do?

Exclamation Re: URGENT - Key problem w/Solara

if the system is factory, tow it to the dealer. if the alarm is
aftermarket, tow it to the installers and have the alarm removed.

I agree - those really are your only two options.

Unless you can get the VIN# and go to the dealer to order a new key.
