I just found out that, in TX, the front license plate must be displayed. I have a 2006 Solara SLE conv. and it did not come with a front lic. plate bracket. Does anyone know where I can get the one that fits the rounded front end nicely? My state inspector told me that www.toyotaparts.com has one, but it looks like the plain, flat back plate holder, not the one that fits the rounded front end that I've heard about.
Go to a dealer ask around. To my knowledge there is only one part# for this Plate/tag mount on a Solara. In my state I see all Solaras with this bumper contoured mount.
Only one that I've seen that is made for our cars is only avail. at the dealer - which go figure, DOESN'T install one on your car when you buy it! They just screw that sucker to your bumper!
Yes, I bought a front plate bracket for my 06 from Toyota & it fits perfectly & is made by Toyota. I think I paid 18 bucks for it? I have the part number at home & will put it on this thread next time I sign on. This front plate bracket has been up for discussion many times & if you research old threads your just libable to find the part no#. Or go to Toyoata Parts & ask them for the number. The 06 bracket is different tha

If you're looking for an '07 or newer, then the front bumper is slightly different and may require a different mount.
