help needed with 97 camry repair issue
Hi I'm new to this forum, but I need some advice. I have a 97 camry v6 with 160k. I just bought it and the seller said something about fixing vacuum lines a year ago. He didn't know specifics. Right now, the car will crank and start just fine. Within two or three seconds, it stalls out. This happens every time. It will restart normally, and stall again. if you press the gas pedal, it will take a little longer, but the rpms will keep falling until it stalls. If I keep doing this, I can get it to stay running with the pedal half way to the floor. I really don't want to tow this thing to toyota and pay through the nose, but I don't know how to diagnose it. Could it be a fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, some kind of vacuum issue? Thanks
