Default Shuddering at 40-45mph

When I'm driving 40-45 mph the car shudders, almost like the engine is about to die. It's not the tires. When I drop below 35 it goes away and when I drive above 50 it goes away. Any ideas before I take it to the Stealership for a diagnosis? Thanks.

Check the fuel filter to start with.

Thanks. It's a 99 SLE with 160k and the fuel filter has not been replaced. I didn't think about it, but I've been pouring BG 44k through it every 5k ever since I sensed the problem....

After a little bit of research, I finally got it fixed. If you ever have this problem, try your EGR Position Sensor. It was a $40 part and 20minutes. It only took that long because I also had to remove one side of my TRD strut bar to access the sensor. I replaced the sensor ant the hesitation is gone.....
