Default To Much Bass

Hello hate to start something like this with a problem but- a new member trying to help my wife with her (new to us) 2002 convertible - has way to much Bass causing vibration in the back deck (top up or down) most evident when underway with top up. Have tried controls with Bass at minimum but still evident - Subwoofer does not have any control.

Other than this bugaboo - she loves the vehicle.

Thanks for any help or suggestions that you may have.

Default Re: To Much Bass

Yeah - unfortunately a bad design in the OEM JBL system in my opinion.

Not sure exactly how it works in the 2002 - you might try pushing the fader more toward the front speakers which helps some, but in the Gen 2 with the top down, it automatically will boost levels again.

Might be time to replace your sound system - I know I most likely will after the first year or two.

Good luck!
