Talking Greetings! (Newbie to site...)

Hey all....

Good to arrive. Hoping for some spice for my '04 Solara.... and might even learn something new about my older iron while I'm at it! May as well dive in!

TRD Exhaust - just ordered

Q: What can we do about the lazy tranny on these?

Okay, that's a start....

Welcome! Looks like you got it okay!

What is that engine in? Don't tell me that's a modded Solara.

Sorry I missed the reply here yesterday! I got into the other thread...

Thanks! The photo is of my 1989 Toyota Supra Turbo. The car is now "old school" by current standards, but at around 400bhp, it's a pretty awesome ride none-the-less. Too many mods to list.... (unless someone asks!) It is the reason I have a Solara that is more "sensible" now! (I would have sprung for alot more car... and ultimately ended up pushing it to a less reliable limit, probably... so I'll see what I can do to spice up the Solara as a daily driver.... and leave the "old iron" around to play with the unsuspecting riff-raff in the usual "less-than-all-out" sport cars. (My Supra is a real "sleeper" from the outside.... no identifying markings/emblems, TOYOTA letters puttied/filled in stock rims -w/squeezed 255/55/16's on them to retain stock look with healthy rubber... it even has brake lights that can be "shut off"... don't ask, it's a long story...)

OMG! Please DO list the mods/specs of your Supra!!!

I would love to get a Supra project car some day if I ever have the $$ and TIME for anything like that!

Great to have you in here! Thanks for sharing your input/ideas!

Jeff

Well, for a teaser..... did I mention the two 10 lbs bottles of NOS that I don't use and didn't include in the 400bhp figure? Maybe I can post some pics and a complete rundown and history of the car... it's pretty interesting, perhaps? Yes, yes.... I'm quite SURE it's an interesting tale.... I think I was doin' the turbo car thing before this genre of cars even got started.... 1987-1990's timeframe.... there WAS NO Sport Compact Car, and single digit 1/4 mile times from a civic was a pipe-dream...

I'll dig for some shots from my older gen. ('84) Supra and ('87) Supra as well... I can STILL remember doing about a 2-3 second side-wheel-stand with the '84 somewhere in Kansas once... then bustin' out a 3rd gear to e-brake slide 360 back into a clutch-pop tail-waggin' continuation in 2nd.... aaaahhhhhh! Those were the days of vehicle abusing reckless abandon that I hope NOT to repeat in my ripened age era of the Solara....
