Default Wheel Alignment Problem 07 SLE Conv

Brand new 2007 SLE Convertible and from day 1 the steering wheel is off center by about 1/4 inch. The alignment is actually fine, just the steering wheel is off center. This is making me CRAZY, the dealer had the car on the alignment rack twice and it is the same problem. I go back next week to have a "master technician" look at it. Has anyone had a similar experience and what were the results. What is my recourse if they can not correct this problem.

Thanks

If they can't/won't fix it, demand a new car!!

I'm serious!!

That IS fixable and is part of the alignment process. I had two previous cars where this was an issue, one of which the steering wheel was upside down! Bring it back in and they can adjust the steering column position quite easily. If they start giving you some BS that it's normal, get the service manager involved.

Good luck.

I felt a wobble in on wheel...brought it in and they supposedly balanced the wheels an gave it an alignment. It is better but I think they missed a wheel. My Sienna was a different story. 7500 miles and the tires were cupping. They aligned it for free. I asked them about the ruined tires and they called Toyota. They replaced al four tires for free.
