Question Install JBL amp to 2007 Solara

Hi evey1,

I have a 2007 Solara SE without JBL system and I just bought a 2007 OEM JBL amp off from ebay, and now I need the jumper harness to go from the amp to the stereo. Could anyone please let me know where i can get jumper harness or even a wiring diagram would be a great help. I need it really badly, because without this jumper harness, there's nothing I can do with the amp.

Thank You
Thien

Why would you buy just the amp? And what are you putting it into? If its a late-model Solara, it will be plug-n-play. Otherwise, you're going to be hitting up the parts counter at your local dealer.

The person who I got it off from ebay do not have the wires, he has the amp only. Do you know if the 2007 Solara SE has the wires built in already?

and thanks for the reply.

I'm sure that if you are thinking of adding it to a 2007 Solara, it probably already has the amp - so to answer my question, Why?

If you don't have the JBL system, it probably won't work.

If something happened to your amp, then replacing it might work (or if someone stole it perhaps??).

Just trying to figure out exactly what it is you're trying to do to see what you have to work with to answer your questions.

Hey i did a similar Mod to my 06 solara... it came with the factory single disk (non jbl) radio head unit. I actually purhcased the 2007 JBL head unit and installed it but it required the JBL digital Amp to plug into it. If your car came without the JBL system the wiring harness will not fit the radio. you most likely will have a 6 and a 10 pin harness that fits into the rear of your head unit. i got a custom wiring harness from a subsrcriber here on TS ( Tahir Mallick tahirmallick@hotmail.com ) for $175 but that actually included the amp too! so you'd probably be spending a bit less. But you will need the JBL head unit or nothing will wire together. Hope this helps!
