Hmm... doesn't this same logic apply to auto insurance?
Granted - it is a profit deal for the dealership, but is someone wants to get the coverage to protect them past the factory warranty, then I wouldn't discredit their decision.
I had a new tranny and rear-end go in my Tundra at 55K miles that the extended warranty covered all but the small deductible. I didn't plan on that happening, but maybe I caused that bad karma by buying the coverage in the first place?
